EUCON - Europäisches Institut für Conflict Management e.V.
, (European Institute for Conflict Management) headquartered in Munich is a non-profit organisation and was formed in October 2006 out of the former Gesellschaft für Wirtschaftsmediation und Konfliktmanagement e.V. (gwmk).

EUCON, since being founded as gwmk e.V. in 1998, has developed into Germany's leading organisation in the field of business mediation. It is therefore not without some pride that we bear the additional title "leading in business mediation."

EUCON advises adversarial parties in in-house conflicts and disputes with outside parties and assists you in dispute resolution.

We offer our many members - mediators, institutions, professional organisations, law firms and corporate businesses - a number of interesting advantages as well as close cooperation on specific issues with our directors and regional chapter heads, our Academy and our working groups.

Take advantage of our Internet offering - and our mediator pool as well - for all your information needs regarding alternative dispute resolution methods and regarding EUCON.

EUCON ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATED IN MUNICH

More than 80 people, including both members and guests from the business world, the judicial system and politics gathered in Munich's Theater und so fort on Friday, 26 September 2008 to celebrate EUCON Institute's tenth anniversary.

The evening's real highlight was a lecture by physicist and philosopher Professor Peter Dürr.

"Mediation is really a good instrument because it presupposes that we all basically have something in common. We have more in common than we realise ourselves. We have to discover that and when we have discovered it then mediation does not mean that you have to convince the other side but that you have to remind them what they already know."
