EUCON philosophy

The EUCON Institute is an independent non-profit organisation!

EUCON is interdisciplinary and collaborates with leading representatives in the legal, economic and social sciences and engages in an exchange of experiences with domestic and foreign organisations pursuing similar goals.

Since 2006 we have by subscribing to the Draft European Code of Conduct for Mediators been included in the EU list of the Mediator Association of the European Commission and are bound by this code of conduct for mediators. We therefore also put our members under an obligation to meet these high ethical standards. If the EUCON Institute becomes aware of violations by individuals members the latter can be barred for life.

EUCON sets standards for conflict parties, trade associations, attorneys, mediators, consultants as well as generally for other neutral third parties for alternative conflict resolution in the business world.

EUCON also ensures that proceedings serviced by the EUCON Institute are conducted professionally. We provide conflict parties, trade associations, attorneys and consultants in all fields with neutral individuals best qualified as mediators to help resolve disputes.

Via our EUCON Academy we offer continuing and advanced training. In doing so we set the standards in Germany for qualified business mediation. We actively certify mediators who meet our quality requirements and support outside mediator training if the latter meet EUCON's stringent criteria.

EUCON offers rules of procedure and standard documents for contractual initiation and conduct of alternative dispute resolution proceedings that meet the latest requirements of scientific insights and practical experience.

EUCON supports and promotes its members in all areas of professional alternative dispute resolution.

We, EUCON, the European Institute for Conflict Management, are at all times ready to have ourselves judged according to these objectives.
